New Partnership Brings innovative spark360 “Social Business Television” and “Ask An Expert” Digital Video Programs to Dallas CBS Radio Customers

DALLAS, May 7, 2010- spark360 and CBS Radio Dallas announced a new agreement that gives CBS Radio customers access to innovative digital video marketing programs produced by Splash Media, L.P.  The spark360 “Social Business Television” and “Ask An Expert” will be made available to CBS Radio customers beginning May 10th when the initiative formally launches.

CBS Radio Senior Vice-President David Henry said, “The spark360 and ‘Ask an Expert’ programs from Splash Media give CBS Radio a powerful suite of new digital tools to offer our existing and new customers.  Providing engaging online initiatives that are powered by radio is a win-win approach to blending traditional and online media.”

The partnership provides custom long form and short form digital video content that is produced to showcase CBS Radio advertisers and to provide optimized distribution of that content on the Internet via a robust social media strategy.

Splash Media President Chris Kraft said, “This partnership is a great example of bringing traditional media and social media together in a way that equals more than the sum of its parts.  This truly is one plus one equals three.  Our program gives traditional advertising additional leverage by creating compelling digital video content that is widely distributed on the Internet and can be shared easily across the most popular social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.”

spark360, is a new online business news program from Dallas-based Splash Media that  uses experienced journalists, professionally-produced web video and a wide variety of Spark-branded new media channels to let individual companies tell the world how they are impacting their industries.

Award-winning journalist Renay San Miguel, a 30-year veteran of local and national broadcast news, has teamed up with Splash Media president/co-founder Chris Kraft and Senior Producer Steven Swaim to help launch spark360. San Miguel joins a team that will give companies the power of news-style storytelling to reach a worldwide audience via online video, which Nielsen Research says will make up 90 percent of all internet traffic by 2012.  Putting those videos on spark360 managed channels on Facebook, Google, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube and other platforms, as well as the new spark360.tv   http://spark360.tv website and on special mobile applications, opens up compelling two-way communications between the companies and the public – a public that can include potential customers, investors and employees.

The “Ask an Expert” program showcases how-to information in the form of short form video segments.  Most segments are less that 60 seconds and will provide information and knowledge on subjects as diverse as health care and household repairs.  The hosts of these segments will be ‘experts’ in their respective fields.

Henry added, “Our advertisers and customers are the most knowledgeable folks in their industry.  We want to get that knowledge to our audience in a way that is engaging and easy to consume.  It’s clear that digital video is the way to do that and we feel Splash Media is the perfect partner to provide those services to our customers.”
